Established in 1932, the multi-award-winning Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is one of the largest theatres in London (1,304 seats) and situated in the beautiful surroundings of a Royal Park. Passionate about producing popular, enriching and unexpected theatre that provides a lens into the here and now, the scale and ambition of our productions together with our magical outdoor setting, makes us unique in the capital’s cultural landscape. Every year we welcome over 150,000 people to our 20-week summer season.

Completing your Open Air experience, our in-house bars and restaurants include Covered Dining, The Grill and The Pizza Oven. We also have our own picnic lawn and the West End’s longest bar, stocked with all your favourite summer drinks!

The theatre is a registered charity. In January 2024 Drew McOnie assumed the role of Artistic Director, taking over from Tim Sheader, and will programme the 2025 season onwards. James Pidgeon was appointed Executive Director in 2021.

By Tube

Baker Street is the closest tube station and is served by the Bakerloo, Circle, Hammersmith and City, Jubilee and Metropolitan lines. The venue is also close to Regent's Park Station (Bakerloo Line) and Great Portland Street Station (Hammersmith & City, Circle and Metropolitan lines.)

By Train

Marylebone station is a 15 minute walk to the west. Euston station is a 30 minute walk to the east.

By Car

Use the postcode NW1 4NU to plan your journey.

By Bus

Baker Street is served by bus numbers 13, 18, 27, 30, 74, 82, 113, 139, 189, 274. Marylebone Road is served by bus numbers 18, 205, 27, 30, 453 and N18.

Parking

Parking is free on the Inner Circle, Chester Road and Outer Circle after 6.30pm. Pay and Display at all other times.

Accessibility

Wheelchair Access

The theatre is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. Spaces in the auditorium for wheelchair users and their companions can be booked in advance with the Open Air Theatre Box Office.

Hearing Systems

An FM assisted listening system is available for people with hearing impairments. Please request a handset from the venue.

Guide Dogs

Guide dogs are welcome and can be looked after if required.
